Switching Lights

I am going to move my RBTA from a 10 gallon holding tank with a 150 Sunpod to a 30gallon breeder with t-5's. Its been under this light for a year

It is a 4 bulb T-5 fixture each bulb is 39 watts. My question is do you think that the this drastic change will affect the RBTA

Or should i just go for a MH PC combo 36inch fixture ?

You just have to do it. IME what they will do is to hide in the rock work till they get used to the new habitat. This can take months and will almost certainly mean they don't stay where you want them. The best thing you can do is put covers or sponges on your powerhead intakes and let them adjust on their own. Don't adust anything in that tank to include lighting, rockwork or flow.
It's free advise. Take it with a grain of salt.

Do the T-5s. I've heard good things.
I'm still a MH guy.

If i can get a good price on

If i can get a good price on

a Metal Halide /Power Compact Combo i will do it.

I may trade in my 12 inch RBTA for a Gigantea green or blue...

I'd put dibs on the RBTA living far longer than the Gigantea any day, but you've gotta decide for yourself if it's worth the risk.

Ive had this RBTA for two years now. I dont know if it will get any bigger, my pair of akinydos on the other hand are getting huge.

I love those akinydos clowns!

I'd get the MH/T5 combo, too. T5 only is great, but I need shimmer lines. Otherwise, it'll look like a FW tank.
