swolen lips

i just bought a pretty small orange shoulder tang on monday. at the LFS he showed no signs of aliment, but now he his swollen lips. and the veins around his lips are dark red. what kind of diease is this?

Sounds like some sort of mouth rot. Remove to quarantine tank and treat with antibiotics.

Could also be a lip/gum infection. I agree this fish needs to be moved to a separate tank and treated with antibiotics, vitamin enriched food, and pristine water conditions.

Beta glucan can be added to the treatment plan as well to possibly boost the immune system.
