Have you ever head a problem with the watchman gobies jumping out of the tank...I've always wanted one but heard they are prone to do that. Also, how are they with shrimp?
Eeek, didn't know it had been this long since I posted an update. I'll get some current pics up soon. But they won't be anything stunning, corals sure to grow slow.
No I haven't had any issues with the watchmens jumping out, I don't think I have ever seen one of them go an higher than about 3 inches off the bottom. I have no idea how they are with shrimp since I don't have any atm.
I'm starting to think my lighting might be overkill. I've got the total photoperiod down to around 8 hours per day and still I can't seem to get corraline algae to grow on parts of the rockwork that are exposed directly to the lighting. It's growing great in shaded areas and on the bottom of rock, on my overflows and on my Vortechs.
My corals are doing great though a few of my SPS seem to have turned somewhat brown, however they are still growing with good polyp extension at night, it's just that the color isn't a vibrant as they were when I first put them in. However some of them are nice and bright and have great color. I dunno.
Bought a frag pack from DBarsotti, couldn't be happier. Packed and shipped better than most mailorder fishstore stuff, everything is alive and slowly growing.
My 3 clams are doing very good.
I found two baby serpent starfish in one of my overflows on the glass last night. Thought that was pretty damn cool, especially considering I've never had any serpent starfish in my tank.
No new fish to speak of. My wife keeps begging me to add more fish, but I'm scared that it will throw off my tank in some way, either through disease, harrasement, or something.
I'll get some current pictures up this weekend.
