Are you sure about the tempered glass? There is no craking there, it just shutters and helce not used in aquariums taht often!
Considering the dimensions i think that in order to have a chance of no bowing on top you should lower your height at 50 cm.
X-aqua from Italy is selling a rimless double bottom tank with dimensions (120x100x50) using 12mm glass so I would go with that!:wavehand:
IMHO, I would stay away from tempered glass espically for the base.

Be carefull man, 6125 can't be controlled by the 6095... By the way, I'm starting my 120x100x60I'll post some pictures when the starting cycle is finished...
Water Movement
Tunze Multi Controller 7095.000
2 x Tunze Turbelle® Stream 6125 (3,170 USgal./h).
Return pump not decided yet. I will not go for something will blast the tank or less then requirement. Water circulation will be 7 to 7.5 time total system vol.
That sounds thin to me... My 60 is 12mm....
Thanks man...
I checked X-aqua. Really they are using 12mm at the same dimensions. I will see if I can reduce the height by 10cm......
I don't think that it will look beautiful with 50cm height.
O no man...:sad1:... your 60g is running with 12mm... I think I need more than 19mm glass....??????![]()
It will have a more shallow look which appeals to a lot of people including my self:spin1:
12mm for a 60 g is an overkill!
To keep the 60 height you need 15 mm!!19mm will certainly be stronger if you want to overbuilt it
I hate going into a build thread, and then ralizing there isnt enough pages and I dont get to see the tank. Looks like its going to be a fun build! Cant wait for updates
AWESOME!!!!! :bounce3:
I was wondering when you would open your thread!!!!
Have you made any progress Syed?
