T5 HO kits

Hey has anyone used these. I know they are probably not as good as say an Icecap setup but for the price and being HO, figured they should be sufficient.

I got one... and what can I say, it gives off light. I havn't got it on the tank yet, but I would say it is considered weak compared to overdriven ones. It seems brighter than my dual PC fixture... but it has one actinic in it. I plan on using it, cuz I got it reeeally cheap, but only til I can get a true fixture. And because I am cheap, I will be using it for a while.

I bet it is 1/2 as powerful... but that is just a guess.

The ballast are really pretty good. They have a nice small built in endcap. The HAgen reflectors are wider like the TEK 2 reflectors. So I would suggest buying the ballast but get better reflectors like Icecap, aquactinic or reefgeek. Using the better reflectors and better bulb like ATI, Aquascience, UVL ect. will give you a great results.
