t5 light configuration

If you were going to set up a 4 ft 8 bulb tek light fixture what bulb configuratin would you use. do I even need 8 bulbs on a 90 gallon? I am planning on having sps in this tank. Thanks Jim

Here are my choices of bulbs.

Blue Actinic Plus or Blue: $19.00 per lamp
Sun: $19.00 per lamp
Aquablue: $21.00 per lamp
Pure Actinic Plus or True Actinic $23.00 per lamp

I have a T-5 set-up on my 90 gal and I really like it. I have the 6 bulb combination and have had great growth over the past year.

I think the 8 bulb kit might be a bit overkill, but since it fits you might as well go with it. I would go with two Sun, two Aquablue, and four Blue Actinic Plus if you like your tank on the blue side, or maybe swap on BAP for a sun if you like it a bit warmer (less blue). The 8 bulb kit is a bit wider than the tank itself so it might stick out a bit if you have the tank flush against a wall.
