t5 light for sps

I would go with 8, I had a nova extreme with 8 bulbs on my 90 and it was great, then if you decide in the future to keep sps, you already have a lot of light.

i have sps now in a 75 under 4 t5 but i wish i went with 6 bulbs but im moving up in size to the 90 and just could decied..i was planing on just buying a 2nd 4 bulb fix

for discussion's sake what is the width of the tank and each lighting unit you are considering?

its 48 by 18 just the norm aga 90 gal and i have a 4 bulb nova ex on my 75 that the 90 is going to replace and i was just thinking of adding a 2nd four bulb or a 2 bulb

18" wide, go with 6 bulbs, anything more and you'll be lighting the floor (unless the fixture is narrower than normal for some reason). I have a Oceanic Tech 90G and a 6 bulb ATI. I can grow anything anywhere in the tank, including SPS on the sandbed.

divewsharks - what kinda sps are you keeping? im just scared i will want more light and i can fit the a 2nd 4 bulb lite but with no ex room to move

I currently have a 5 bulb aquactinics tx5 on my 90. SPS do great under the lights. Nevertheless, I do think a high quality 6 bulb fixture would be the best option.
