Hey Everybody! New to posting at Reef Central but I've always used this forum for advice. After taking a 5 year break from saltwater I'm now changing my 30 oceanic cube, which is now a planted tank, to a reef.
So I've already decided on keeping the existing light fixture which is a 96 Watt quad-bulb fixture from Coralife. I also have ordered the 20" AquaticLife 2x18W T5 fixture to use on my tank as well. So, my question is... With the 96 watts of PC lighting (using the 50/50 Bulb) what 2 color bulbs should I use in the T5 fixture to make the tank more blue while still contributing to growing corals?
The 96w 50/50 bulb is half 10K and half True Actinic 03 it says. The AquaticLife T5 fixture comes with one 10k bulb and a 420/460nm actinic bulb. My options are kind of limited since the bulb size is only 18" so my choices are from the two it came with, OR a "marine 700 +10000k", a 6000k, roseate, or purple, all made by AquaticLife.
