I don't know much about T5 lighting, but how much more intense would 156 watts of T5 be compared to 192 watts of compact flourescent? Which would I be able to more coral under?
I am not for certain as far as experience goes as I only have a polyp rock and starburst evergreen polyps in my aquarium under the 48" 216 watt T-5 lighting, but from what I have read on here, and in this article in the first paragraph of Fluorescent lighting, that they produce more then enough lighting. Scroll down on the article to lighting.
I have a TEK T5 light fixture with 4 54 W bulbs over a 55 and I have a crocea near the bottom that is doing great and a millepora that is really healthy as well.
