T5 lightning

What fixture/bulbs, what size tank & what corals involved.

I have my 4x24 ATI Sunpower a few inches above a 29g (30"x12"x18")

You may find a 10bulb ATI used. If you place coral properly & use the fixture within its limits you could use an 8x39w.
Otherwise you'll want 2 fixtures. The bulb ratio is up to you. 6 bulb & 4 bulb, or whatever you think.

I'd stick with ATI or TEK for T5 myself.

You could get away with an 8 Bulb fixture on that. With only 24 inches to get through, you could probably find another 4 x 39 fixture and use both of those. If you just want one fixture, then look for an 8. With only 24 inches of depth, you should be perfect. I have 2x24 watt lights on a tank with a 21 inch depth and have an extremely happy anemone on the bottom that actually moved itself down to the bottom. My tank is much smaller, but it is the PAR you are really worried about at the bottom.

i have also from another brand fixture of 6 x 39w + 4 x 39w
maybe ths is a good idea?

You could use the 6x39 ATI fixture & buy a used 4-6 x39 ATI fixture.
I would just get a used ATI fixture, you should be able to find a 6x39 for $200-250, with or without used bulbs, shipping excluded.
I wouldn't get another brand , but that's me. I wouldn't want anything ugly next to my pretty ATI Sunpower. Haha, I have vanity issues.

so if i put 10 x 39w T5 as lightning , how high of the watersurface is the best? my waterlevel is exactly 22 inch (for lps and sps)

no prob.
normally i have that vanity issue also , but the lightning will be placed inside a tankhood so you can't see them : -)

start it high & slowly drop it down over a week until its 6-7" above the tank, you may go even lower but our corals will be the judge, just watch them & see or get a PAR meter.

Well that solves that then, make sure the canopy is well vented to keep the moist/salty air from corroding the lights & allow for the cooling of the ATI fixture.
