I am looking for a T5 light for my 75g tank. I need it to be in the 300-400 dollar range. Any recommendations? Please help me out as this money is burning a hole in my pocket. LOL

x2 on reefgeek.com. You could buy the 4 bulb t5 retrofit kit with the icecap 660 ballast for less than $350. I would also recommend the tek fixture from them also

i am actually looking for the whole light. not a retro fit. any other recommendations in the 300-400 dollar range.

I would also look at the Current USA Nova Pro. Not the best but performance was pretty good for the money and your 75 gallon isnt very deep. I think this was the biggest criticism of the fixture ... par at depth because of the reflectors. But for a relatively shallow 75 it would probably be one of the better choices in your price range for a complete fixture. Lots of happy users of the fixture as well. Check the thread in the link. It's not high end but they do the job well in the right application.

almost everyone is out of the nova pro 48" 6 bulb fixture. that light would fall in the 300-400 dollar range i am looking for. anyone know any good places to order?

For the Nova Pro, look for it at Marine Depot.com, diyreef.com, or Drs. Foster and Smith.

thanks. anyone use the coralife T5?

I have had bad experiences with Coralife lights, and do not recommend them. In fact I just don't like Coralife at all--- take the SeaClone skimmer for example--- a shoddy design that NOBODY likes yet they still make it and hapless noobs wander into putting $80-100 into a fancy bubble maker (and not a skimmate maker!).

With the 4 bulb, you should have no issue with softies and LPS. You would even be able to keep some of the lesser light SPS like Monti caps and so forth. I have the 6 bulb on my 75 gallon and have almost all SPS including acros.
