T5s and Icecap ballasts

I want to combine VHO and T5s and am not sure of the configuration that I can do with 660 Icecap ballasts. I want to run 5 - 3' T5s off the 660 ballast. Can I do that? Or will it only handle 4?

Also, I am using a mirrored plexiglas hood. Do I need reflectors for the T5s too? Right now, I get plenty of reflection off of the mirror with the VHO.

AFAIK, 4 bulbs max on the 660.
Yes, you need reflectors. What makes T5s worth while is the individual parabolic reflectors. Without them, you dont get the benefit.

Post your question about combininb bulbs on the icecap forum in the sponsors area. I think they are rated for a specific number of linear feet of bulbs. If connected separately, I believe that the ballast will identify the lamp type and supply the appropriate level of start and energy.
