So I was getting a little worried thinking my T5s were not going to be powerful enough for SPS.
I use them with individual parabolic reflectors and cheapo ballasts.
So I started to notice my SPS were growing, I use 5x1500k and 3x atinic. And my guess is the growth will accelearte more if I change to 11000k.
Then I noticed this: I bought a small crocea, colorful, placed it on the sandbed, I heard that when they are small, they need feeding. I never fed it, and now its almost 3 inches. Growing fast and keeping its colors.
Then I bought a rainbow danae monti, and placed in on the top of the tank, in a few months the polyps were hidden and it started to bleach and die. I changed it to the sandbed, and within 2 weeks the polyps are out now and is regrowing!.
My tank is 24" tall.
