T5s

Got my T5s up and running for the most part today. i will post pics when I get it all done, and get the right bulbs in there. I have a 3000k GE bulb in there for one of them. UGLY. Never buy a 3000k bulb, it came with the lights. That is the only reason I have it

3000k will work well if you are running enough blue spectrum to offset it.

There isn't enough room to run enough blue bulbs to cover that one. It is gross, you should see it. Nasty stuff.

Did you get your VHO to run with the T5's off of the same ballast?

I can, I just didn't do it yet. I had the living room filled with crap for a while today, and by the look in her eyes it was time to get it cleaned up. I am going to try to run 6 T5s and maybe my 2 VHO actinics if I can fit it all, not sure if it will work or not.

Hey Josh, did you use those standoffs that i gave you with all those end caps?

I like the 3000K GE bulb, it is supposed to have great PAR and bring out the red pigments in corals.

The 3000k just gave me a browned out look. Although I have 2 6500k bulbs on there with it. Way to much grow light. Needed more blue to go with it.

I took out the 3000k today and added another actinic today, looks better.
