T8 Flourescent Lighting

A lot of FW tanks come with the old crappy T8 lights. Some of the teachers at my school want to know if I set up their little tanks as saltwater fowlr, if they could also grow mushrooms/gsp/xenia under the default fluorescent hood lights. What do you think?

fish should be fine and hardy corals might survive a long time, but probably wont grow much if at all. never tried it myself...

T5's are more efficient, just use individual reflectors.

Xenia needs lots of light or they just melt away. Just from my experience. Yours might be different. They are everywhere so worth a try.

I cant get my xenias to grow! of course all my other stuff grows light weed
