Murphs205

gotta love saltwater.....
does anyone use it ? know about it ? I was told Dan has it @ salty (thanks Andy) ,,
whats the effect on Calk, Alk ,PH ? what about my sand sifting Goby's? leave the color blind jokes behind ............
It looks like we are going to buy a new house this spring, the wife is out as we speak looking at a few she liked ,and that means we are moving !! i will have to tear down the tank ,,(man that stinks)
when i switched from my 54 corner tank to the 72 Gal bow front , i made the MISTAKE of using most of my old sand, everything was out of wack for 6 weeks after that switch , cloudy water for weeks, chem balance was crazy, it took 6 -8 weeks for everything to come back down and for the water to get the cloud out , with the use of alot of carbon in a Mag 350 canister.
I was thinking of using this sand after the move when i set it up AGAIN , i have looked up a few pics of this in reef tanks ,,,and WOW , it looks way nice , the colors just pop inside the tanks i saw on-line this morning. im going to need some info on this or see it in action before i will risk my tanks future . and all of my hair that i will end up pulling out if i use it and it bombs,

if any one has input or has used it /have it ,,, fill me in a bit on it please

I have a blend of it white and black mix I like it. Just remember no reflection with black substrate.

I used it and it is hard to keep tidy looking. Also absorbs the light.
I have a 5 gallon bucket sitting outside under the deck full of the black Tahitian and some white fuge sand. If you want it, you are welcome to it before I dump it in my garden. Just took it out of my 50 gallon I broke down this weekend.
PM if interested.
