Tailspot blenny kicked coco worm out

I added two blennies to my tank this week and that really stirred the pot. My established tailspot blenny has decided the best place for his fat butt is my coco worm's tube. He has been in there for two days, and I assumed the worm had just retreated farther than him. Today, the worm has been kicked out and is pulled out anytime I put him back. I've moved the entire tube to the other side of the tank now, but there's not much energy coming from the poor worm and his crown is gone.

Is there any hope that if I can get him to stay in his tube he'll make a recovery? He's been in the tank for a few years now. Any tips for helping him calm down?

Insight is very much appreciated!

Put the worm in a place with low flow, and gently blow tiny food onto it if it comes out. Other than that, leave it alone.
Never heard of a blenny doing that... are you sure the worm wasn't already out a few days ago, maybe behind a rock? The blenny might have just taken advantage of an empty tube. Or you could have a jerk blenny.

Pretty sure it's the jerk blenny... he's ripped the worm out four times today that I've witnessed. Moved worm in his tube to the other side of the tank. Blenny is now confused. Worm keeps bailing on his tube. I'll keep trying.

Thanks for your reply. It means a lot!

If the worm keeps leaving, you may want to let it leave. It might not feel safe in its tube any more, or the tube could be full of fish slime. The worm will build another tube if it doesn't go back to that one.
