Tales of a clownfish! *Picture Story*

I could not give back any of my clowns, so I am going to get a tank with dividers like you see in the LFS and place inline with my display. Hope to get different pairs of clowns. Anyone with setup like this?

Nah, you would be suprised how quick Clarkiis can be. From my experience and what I have read they are the fastest swimming clownfish. Not to mention some of them are mean too.

I`m actually thinking of doing that to my 135 . I`m running out of room for more tanks and will need some grow out tanks when my pairs start spawning .

Why not just sell your clowns locally?

clarkii FTW it has the weight and size advantage she would kill the others, maybee she would pair with the smaller ocellaris or maroon after killing all the others

I plan to but you need to let them grow out a little first .

I have used tank dividers in two tanks so I could mix pairs - at first I used a clear plastic, then found the dark gray type which seem to work better (the clown pairs didn't notice each other as much). Also, I put a lot of LR around the dividers so the dividers weren't so noticable when you look at the tank. Make certain they dividers are several inches higher than the water to reduce the chance of someone jumping and a can of whomp arse getting opened.

Great information BristlewormKing. Although I bet the dividers became more apparent once coralline algae began to grow on it.
