Tang eating silicone

Recently my tang (Powder Brown - japonicus) started nipping at the silicone in the tank. It makes an annoying clicking sound every time he does it and I'm scared he might eventually nip enough to damage the tank. Could he be sick? Crying out for help? Crazy? I'm not actually sure he's ripping any silicone off but that clicking noise kind of has me worried that it might cause damage.

is the PB getting enough to eat? Do you feed nori or other algae sheets? Our big sailfin starts to get pretty grumpy when he doesn't get enough algae to pick on.

are you sure he's not just eating the algae that grows on the silicone?

He probably is but I fear he might be ripping silicone off as he eats the algae.

I feed the tank 2 times a day (Flakes/Frozen) and I add a 1/4 Algae sheet at the lunch time feeding. Do you think 1/4 sheet a day is enough? I'm sure the tang would love it if I just dumped the whole bag in there.
