This is the "Philipine Yellow Tang" that I want to get an ID on. So far I have not been able to find this fish through the resources I have. Does anyone know what it is?

It seems Acanthurus olivaceus. Young specimens are entirely yellow like it. Also it has a distinct orangish patch on side.

It seems Acanthurus olivaceus. ....

Is this also known as an Orange Shoulder Tang?

Thanks for the replies guys...that sure is different than a "Philippine Yellow Tang". That would be cool though as I really like the Orange Shoulder tangs...He is the fastest growing fish in the tank and started at about 2" and is now about 5". He is very social.

And I have noticed the back third or so is turning dark so that fits the description as well.

Again, thanks so much!

yes defitnetly a orange shoulder. They are so personable! i love my orange shoulder and can see you already falling for yours!

olivaceus are definitely underappreciated, you just don't realize how nice they are till you see one in person.
