Was told this was a yellow tang but it's much lighter than a normal yellow.

Ok well here is my rock and a hard place. I'm selling out of the hobby. So I'm trying to tell everything. What do I sell this guy for?

If I lived closer to you I would say 100$ but since I don't they sell depending on how much white to yellow there is they can go for as much as 1500$

Just a reminder...this is not a selling forum and inquiries about purchasing this fish will be removed.

Thats a Abberant, they come in white and yellow and they also come in a pie ball color variation with white, yellow and black. There is another guy on here (can't remember username) from Normand OK and he has one that looks alot like this one that he calls casper. He got the tang from someone breaking down a tank and the fish remains the same colors. Google search abberant yellow tangs

Dmorty i agree strongly about fish not being disposable commodities but sadly some LFS here seem to think they (and corals) are....actually heard "oh you will get 12 mths out of it" recently. Some of my fish die because I make mistakes. I have been reading for the three years I have had a reef tank and realise I actually know next to nothing yet but now have a pretty stable mixed reef for the first time. My son has started up and tells me things his LFS have told him which I just know to be plain wrong..? ...oh well....I guess its classic human behaviour to repeat our mistakes. Sorry a bit off topic.

Thank you, LFS for the most part are just trying to make a $ and don't care about livestock in the least bit. Most will sell you fish too early and ones that won't coexist together. My favorite is when someone buys a large angel or tang for their 55g and the guy at the store tells them its fine. Two weeks later they are back (maybe sooner) with a dead fish
