Tang losing skin around mouth?

Got a couple new tangs yesterday a dussemir and a horse shoe. The horseshoe has something odd going on around it's mouth it has a bunch of stringy looking things around its mouth/beak almost like he's losing skin around his mouth. Was swimming around fine yesterday and this afternoon noticed he was hanging out around the discharge of the hang on back filter of the QT tank. I tried to take some pictures but not sure you can see what I'm talking about exactly. Any help recommendations are appreciated, I have medication for just about anything at the ready.

With a new fish I would suspect a bacterial infection caused by catching or handling damage or fighting.
I would probably try a broadband antibiotic and see if it helps.

A fungal infection would be another possibility.

Look as closely as see if it looks like it's attached to his mouth, could be an anchor worm. It's possible he's trying to get fresh oxygen from the return is what I'd guess.
