Tang not looking good

By looking at it's tail, it looks like something is picking at it. Are any of the fish fighting with it?

I have not seen anyone picking on it. And I have had it for over a year.

Hi,

Are they black spots? If yes read this:

Symptoms:
The most obvious sign is the small black spots, measuring approx. 2mm in diameter (.08 in). Fish may also exhibit behavioral signs, such as scratching against aquarium objects and flicking of their fins.

Cure:
Black Spot is fairly easy to cure. First and foremost, remove all snails from the aquarium. And that's about it! The parasites can not mature further so eventually die. If any of the sites of attachment get infected by bacteria, use a mild antibiotic available from your local aquarium store. This rarely happens however, so is not usually necessary.

I believe my tang has HLLE, and while reading on-line about HLLE I discovered an article in Coral Mag linking Carbon dust with HLLE. So I checked my media reactor and it was leaking carbon into my sump. So I am running my Mag 350 with the polisher cartridge, and planning a 50% water change tonight.

It has not improved yet. But it is still acting and eating normal. So I am hopeful.
