Well, my I called my wife and she told me that our tang has bumps on him, not white though, any ideas? ill try to get her to take a pic... Think it might just go away on it's own? thanks, mike.
well, she says it's not white spots, so , not ich, whatever it is, it is going to have to go away on it's own/....It is eating fine, she really doesnt know much about the hobby, so, hopefully it's nothing.
It's hard to say what it is unless a picture is posted. They can get stung by corals they're not used to, but it goes away. They can get spots from eating too much meaty foods since they should be feeding on veggies stuffs mainly.
Maybe it's getting hit by a big mysis shrimp. I have found one as big as 4". In my rock work before. You won't see it with the light on.
The one I found killed my bicolor blenny that was about 2.5 long. If she hears a loud tapping sound. That sound like someone was tapping on the glass of the tank.
Do you mean Mantis shrimp? I could be wrong, but I do not think Mysis shrimp fit that description. But yes, Pistol shrimp and some fish can make that clicking sound also.
They're known to get ich easily. Mine gets bumps on him every so often. If it's not ich, I wouldn't worried about it. But I've noticed it is partially due to the diet you feed them. Keep feeding nori, but do you purchase any frozen food for herbivorous??? Emerald Entree is an option.
