Tangs & Boxfish as tank mates?

Hi,

Has anyone have any success keeping boxfish & tangs such as yellow, hippo & kole tang as tank mates?

I know we have to keep boxfishes away from agressive fishes...would introducing new fishes via the introduction/acclimation box for a couple of days help so that they get used to each other?

Following along. I've got a solorensis boxfish in a FO tank with a clown and a toby. At various times, she's been kept with a singapore angel and a watchman goby. They seldom interacted at all.

I've been thinking of moving her over to my main tank with a few angels and a kole tang, but have hesitated because I don't want her harassed. I think it's entirely possible that they won't even pay any attention to her at all. The tang - who considers itself the boss of my 185 - will chase angels and butterflies relentlessly until the point is made, but completely ignored my orange spotted filefish when added.

I haven't really noticed that the acclimation box has much effect on how the fish interact because the fish in the tank don't seem to notice the fish inside the box. However, maybe it would be worse without it. I do think it gives the new guy a chance to size up the tank and calm down a little before being released, so it's still a good thing.

I don't see why not other than the box fish will be struggling to eat when the tang is bigger and a more aggressive eater. They will swim circles literally the box fish
