Tangs for 180?

Yeah, I'm a little concerned about foxface/yellow tang/copperband aggression. The copperband is probably my favorite fish so I'll be bummed if there is a problem (particularly if it proves difficult to remove the tang or it is discovered too late). The mimic might make a nice addition.

I dont get why people say no on the PBT because of ich... if your QTing anyways and the fish is treated then they wont get ich since it will be gone.... Depending if you treated all your other fish in your tank first...

me personally for my 180... im doing a Kole, PBT and a Purple. Kole is going in first and then the PBT and purple at the sametime... QT and tank transfer for ich regardless if they show signs.

Also the tangs will be bought at a smaller size to limit aggression

Agreed 100% Joe! Now, if people want to say no due to aggression, that's another story :)

Seriously... How many people buy tangs and keep them long enough to actually outgrow their tanks???

For example, I have a dussumieri in my 210gal. No way my tank is big enough long term and I'm OK with that. Not to mention I have ten tangs in there and most of those will outgrow my tank.

The guy at the LFS was telling me about a guy that had a foot plus hippo in a 75. I don't want to be that guy (and I'm pretty sure my wife won't be wild about upgrading the 180 any time soon either). Thanks for all the replies.

Ive never seen a hippo get THAT big... ive seen a few around the 8inch mark but that was about it. and 8inchs in a 6 foot tank is pushing it i think atleast for a fish that likes to swim a lot.

My list for tangs in my 180 is a Kole, tomini and a purple or powder blue even though the last two can be real jerks
