Roger,

I can check when i get home later today where i bought the larger sheets of dried nori from...I feed my tangs new life spectrum pellets and a 1" x 4" piece of nori each day. I feed them frozen brine or rods once/twice per week.

Thanks, Steve

I feed NLS pellets early in the day and a mix of frozen (formula 2, mysis, and angel formula) at night. I also throw in some nori every few days.

Don't forget plenty of meaty stuff (mysis, gut-loaded BS, etc.) along with veggies. Although considered herbivores, tangs on the reef eat lots of small crustaceans and similar stuff while grazing. Like any fish; tangs do best a wide variety of foods and vitamins.
BTW, I notice a lot of comments on NLS foods. I feed this stuff too; but many hobbyists make it their mainstay. The main ingredient in NLS foods is krill, connected with lockjaw and a few other problems. Personally, I think NLS should be part of the variety, not the main ingredient. mature LR is a must for tangs too, of course.

But notice the list of ingredients, and where spirulina is, compared to the HBH ones... which also come in flake form, BTW, if you want to try them.

My tangs eat anything and everything. Between feedings I give them frozen (thawed) broccoli spears ends trimmed so they fit in the food clip. I buy the frozen spears in the box, trim them and hang them. Not only do my tangs love them the other fish (excluding the clowns) eat off them as well. They make less mess that the Nori sheets that break apart and float around. After the buds are eaten I take it out and pitch it.

I noticed that after I posted. time to switch, I prefer pellets anyhow, much less waste.

My tangs(a Yellow and a Yellowfin) eat the same foods as all of my other fish. All of the autofeeders contain a mixture of Ocean Nutrition flakes and pellets, chopped up Seaweed Selects, Cyclop-eeze Granules, and freeze-dried Plankton. They also get several frozen foods, thawed, rinsed, and mixed daily, Formula I and II cubes, squid, clams, mussels, mysis, and spirulina brine shrimp and Nutramar. They also get one or two 2x6 sheets of Seaweed Selects daily. I also grow red Graciliaria in my refugiums, and feed some to them several times a week.
