I have been doing alot of researching but I would like to ask a question and get some opions. I have read many times that blue tangs are the worlds worse at getting ich. I have also read alot about powder blues getting it really bad. I do know that all tangs can get sick but i would like to mabe deal with some hardier specimens if possible. Any opinions are greatlt sppreciated.

The biggest key to keeping a healthy tang is 1. a good and strict quarantining procedure and 2. adequate and appropriate tank size
Yes, some tangs are hardier than others, but all tangs can and will get sick if you don't do your part as a tank/tang keeper

Tangs are known to harbor ich. TTM can take care of that.
Aggression can be limited by not trying to mix fish of the same genus, same body type, or in too small of a tank.
Mirrors can help distract a tang from picking on a new arrival.
I've only had my Powder Blue for 4 months but he is doing well so far.
I have or have had a Sailfin, Yellow, Purple, Naso, Chevron and the Powder Blue.
Sailfin is my favorite and I can't wait to get another this spring.
Just waiting for the right one.

Please note those minimum recommended tank sizes. Putting a fish in a too small tank causes stress and possible aggression issues. You'd be better off without any tangs at all in your 60...

I wouldn't advise any tang in a 60. I have a 120 and won't add a tang. too many other beautiful fish to mess with these ich magnets. different story for an 8' tank.

I want to thank you all for your concerns about the size tank that i have in regards to the fish i was considering. Although, the main purpose of the post was about hardier specimens. I have had a blue tang in a 55 for 5 years before who was amazing but, and I do mean but, I would get rid of a fish that i felt was to large. And again, just going through the thinking process so i am very appreciative!
