Tank build...

Hey guys. Can I have your opinions please?

So the new Reefer 350 arrives in two weeks

I've taken a couple of days off work to do the build. I'm wanting to ditch the return flex pipe and build my own manifold. I'm thinking I can T off the return line to feed:

1) An Eheim 500 UV sterilizer
2) A media reactor of some sort, not sure which one yet...
3) the supply to the ATO tank which i plan to convert to a refugium
4) possibly a spare 4th outlet to future proof any possible addition I may need?

I'm thinking of going with the Vectra M1 return pump. This should provide enough flow?

Two questions really:

1) This is my first tank, so does the above sound feasible?
2) Would someone please advise what size pipe to use (3/4 inch?), what fittings I will need other than gate valves and unions, specifically which fittings to use when connecting to the Vectra and the return nozzle in the tank?

It would be great if I could order all the stuff I need in advance so I can build as much a possible on my days off.

Thanks :)

I assume you are going to do the manifold with pvc pipe?
Yes, it's certainly feasible. In fact I will be doing something similar on a new CadLight Artisan 125g that looks very much like a Red Sea Reefer system. Mine is due here on Friday.

Stick with whatever size pipe comes off the outlet of the pump through the manifold. Then you can reduce the size of the various pipes feeding various items. I'd recommend gate valves with unions built in (if you can find them) for each run off the main line of the manifold, but ball valves will work as well.
