I like the blue maxi. Great tank by the way.

Funny thing about the maxi's ... when I usually get them they are slightly stressed but hardy not sticky ... after acclimating for about a month or two they start to get real sticky and the sting is slightly painful / tingly and delayed for 30 to 60 seconds ... I keep my hands away when in the tank ... that being said I eventually might turn my 40g into a all maxi tank, just have to make sure my Midas Blenny doesn't become food

Tank parameters are getting stable not to many fish made it and lost a few large coral colonies ... could have been avoided if I set up another 50 gallon tank prior

These where in a qt tank 20 gallons with live rock and algae

Blue Naso Tang (eating well but hiding allot now )
Yellow tang (dead after 16 hours)
Kauderns Cardinal (1/2 one dead after 12 hours )

Still annoyed with fish situation ...

Hiding and loss of appetite are common symptoms of stray voltage. Have you checked the QT for that?
