Tank circulation recommendations

So I picked up two 6055s and 7094 controller for a great deal. Once I figured out how to up the voltage, wow! A big jump over my Koralia evolution 1400s which are going on sale soon.

My question. I have a 48x24x24 120 gallon tank. Should I add a wavebox or is that just overkill? I am trying to reach all areas of my tank without blowing my corals around. I've had some nitrate issues lately and I see crud growing on my rocks.

Also I think my controller is on the fritz. The interval mode doesn't seem to work. When I use that mode, the pump in the last slot doesn't turn. I will likely try to program my Reef Angel controller to run the pumps. The pulse mode works great.

Oh and by the way. I don't really understand what interval does. The manual is a bit cryptic. How is it used and programmed?

On the 7094, Interval required a pump in the 1st socket and a pump in the 4th socket to work, there is a switch form the time span and then the knob adjusts within that span. The 7094 was discontinued in 2004 and was introduced in 2000, because they used mechanical relays and switches, they had a finite life, after so many cycles they quit working, so it is not the norm for one to still be fully functional after so many years. It may indeed be broken.

I think a 6208 Wavebox would be a great addition to that set, I would consider such a set up the ideal.

Yes, the wavebox will also come with its own 7092 and that may be preferable only because if you used interval the interval would switch between wavebox and pumps and not between pumps leaving the wavebox running which is generally preferable.
