Tank consolidation

This will probably be the weekend when I consolidate my 2 tanks into one 280 gallon pending completion of a few loose ends. A few things I have will not fare well in the larger tank so I'll be offering them up for sale to interested parties. I have a mated pair of African blue-stripe pipefish that eat frozen mysis and brine. I paid $90 for the pair, I'll let them go for $60. Seth expressed an interest in these so I'll see if he's still interested first. I also have a tiger pistol shrimp who won't have sand in the new tank so he'll need to go. $15 for him. Probably have a couple of small gobies that I may also have to part with. You'd need to come by and pick them up since I'll likely be extremely engaged in the task at hand. Not sure about the corals just yet...

Some miscellaneous equipment will also be offered so PM me if there is something you're looking for, incl. Oceanic 33 gallon cube and stand, probably some 24" T5 light fixtures, power heads, a small amount of mixed live and "dry" LR, protein skimmer, etc.
 
I would be deffinetly interested in the gobies and maybe a power head. Only thing is I am going out of town until Monday. Let me know what all you have, and see if we can work something out.

I'll let you know but it probably won't be until I actually make the transition. I'm not all sure of what I have anymore in some cases due to the cryptic nature of some of the fish.
 
Some have asked so here you go:
Current Nova Extreme 24"X4 T5 fixture with stock bulbs, about 1 year useage, $80
Unknown brand 24"X2 T5 fixture with stock bulbs, $25
UVL Actinic, ATI blue, Giesselman blue 24" T5 bulbs, $5 each, about 4-6 months useage
Unused Dow Filmtec membrane, TW30-1812-24, $10
Oceanic 33 gallon cube, pickled oak stand, 10 gallon sump, return plumbing, (drilled for overflow, no box required) $100
Bubble Magus skimmer, $60
All negotible, of course. I'll put together a list of fish here later today. Thanks for the interest.

Will you be putting any pics up of the lights? I am interested in $24" 4 bulb lights. Does it have any legs on it? If that is taken then maybe the 2 bulb T5 lights.

I'll take the tiger pistol shrimp, but will have to get a goby to go in with him. Perhaps you have a goby/shrimp pair that you could part with together?

He "goes" with a Randall's goby. I was going to keep the goby but I'll let you have both for $40 if interested.

If all goes according to plan I should be breaking the tanks down on Friday and setting back up on Saturday. Either day would work for me. I should know for sure in 24 hours.

I keep lots of gobies together. In a tank that size with a sand bed I doubt you'd have any problems.

Some folks asked about some tank pics. I snapped these quickly with a flash. Excuse the mess, the house is a bit torn up at the moment.

Purple firefish, if he's still in the 125, will also be available. He hides a lot due to the outgoing nature of some of his tank mates. I'll be keeping my Helfrich's instead and don't want to risk the 2 together.

Just out of amateur curiousity, what are you plans as far as "mixing" your SPS and LPS? Mine seem to like different setups (SPS-low nutrients, high flow, mid to high lighting; LPS-higher nutrients, lower flow, lower lighting). I ask because I know one day I will attempt some craziness as far as a gigantic tank (thinking the 800 gallon from WWC), and I was just interested in your thoughts on the matter.
 
Oh, and definitely not saying it can't be done as I have some SPS in my predominately LPS tank and vice versa. It just seems that what works best for one doesn't always work best for the other in my experience.

Thanks Russell, they were quick shots not meant to showcase the inhabitants. Spongie you're not giving yourself enuf credit as you're no amateur. I had the exact problem you describe before but my LPS are actually doing better in my SPS tank right now than in the other. I suspect the additives help a lot.

BTW the skimmer and RO membrane are sold.
