Tank consolidation

I suspect the additives help a lot.

Thanks for the compiment Dave, however now I am intrigued. What additives pray tell would you be referring to? Just the usual calc, alk, and mag? Or might you be dabbling in the traces i.e. Strontium, Molybednium (sp?), Iodine, etc?

Dave's so leet he doses his tank with adamantium!

I'd buy the 33g setup if it weren't taller than it is wide/deep!

24x18x21 tall (guess that's 39 gallons), I measured lol. Sr, I, K, and some BA and Zep additives. I think my colors have nevr looked better but no pastels like you see in an extreme ULNS. I try to feed when I remember.

Dave, You are too modest Good luck in your new indeaver. I saw Fishdoc a few weeks ago and got a few prime pieces from him. Will be transferring my 60 to a 100 gal rimless this weekend time willing. I have done some pre electrical and plumbing so it should go easy (Sure) LOL Good luck and may the Fish Gods be with you
Bill

Thanks Bill. After this w/e whatever is left goes to the LFS or on the general sales forum so lmk if you'd like anything.
Dave

Tank stand and canopy this w/e $350 so I don't have to clean it. That's for the 125 and you'll have to pu the canopy later.

So far I've lost Cbb, blenny, basslet, yellow tenuis, willisae, 2 stylos, hoek, a few other acros and a few others. I'm guessing die off on one or more rocks and dead fish in a temp holding tank starting the process is the cause (likely the latter).

How terrible, sorry . This really scares me, if it can happen to someone as experienced, knowledgeable, and meticulous as Dave, it's only a matter of time ........

If there's any danger in losing corals, I'd be fine with keeping some until you get your issues resolved. Not so sure I could keep fish, but would be willing to try and see if they are compatible with what I have.

If there's anything else I can do to help, let me know. I have two 55's, a 10, and a 29 that I'm not using, along with a couple powerheads, heaters, and a couple hang on filters, if you need to borrow any of it.

Thanks for the offer and support. Moving corals would likely cause too much stress not to mention some colonies are almost 15" across. I have plenty of temp storage and the remaining fish appear fine.
Dave

Man that is terrible Dave. I agree though that moving large colonies would probably only make things worse. 2 tank changes are usually worse than just one (from my experience). Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Dave

I am sorry to here about the trouble you had moving to the new tank. I sounds like you have "stopped the bleeding". I hope the rest or your livestock do fine.

Not even close. It won't surprise if everything dies.
