Tank dimension and lighing question

A friend of mine is interested in setting up a nano reef and asked me a good question that I don't have an answer for. He's very interested in the 24" Coralife 150W (he would be willing to go for the 250W) MH fixture with 2 actinics and would like to know what is the largest tank he can get to couple with that fixture. He wants coverage at all sides of the tank and plans on a few SPS and a couple of clams. I'm actually interested in this as well as I'm in the planning stages of a 20L and am looking into the same fixture but will gladly bump up in tank size.

Thanks.

MH lights distribute light in a 2'x2' area, most reflectors are designed for this amount of coverage. So to answer your question the largest tank he could have with this light and even coverage is 24"Lx24"Wx24H" (with the 250W light) 24"x24"x20" (with the 150W)
