Tank Drilling?

Question i want to know if i could drill my 25 gallon a 1 inch'' hole for over flow box in the top right hand corner, when it is about have filled??? now would put a piece of duct tape on the inside part of the gals so no glass gets in the tank but i wanted to know if possible and was it ever done???

Sure it been done. The trick is keeping the glass cool while you drill it. Just have a friend spray RO water on it as your drilling. Also make sure your atleast the hole diameter away from the edges. Good Luck!

You want to talk to Rod out at Rod's Reef in Dekalb. IMHO he is the "go to" guy for tank drilling and can answer all your questions for you.

He makes house calls as well and used to drill tanks on site.
