Hey All,
I am planning to donate a 55 gallon tank and set it up for the hospital I work in, for it to be placed in their waiting room. So first off I ask, for a reef tank do I need a sump, refugeeum or can I get away with a canister filter and LR or maybe a hob ref? Only reason I ask is because there is no plumbing in there so I want to have a system that does not evaporate much h2o. Question 2, I have regular compact florescent lights. Is there a bulb I can buy that is powerful enough to go deep enough and support soft corals? And question 3, is there anyone that has anything they want to donate to a good cause? I would probably make a plaque with our groups name on it. I would even take pics and post them. If donating is too difficult, would you sell at a cheap price. What I have is the tank, stand, some LR, and sand. I would need powerheads, some LR, possibly a better lighting system if cheap enough, some type of filter(canister, hob or otherwise), possibly a protein skimmer(if cheap). Well I know this is a huge request and feel free to tell me to go to he%$ if you feel so inclined, but I thought I would ask. Tank dimentions are 4' by 1' by 20.5 high. Thanks in advance.
Bill
P.S. I will be posting this in all wisconsin forums.
