tank mates?

I would not keep really to much with seahorses.

You have to be concerned on feeding & aggresion mostly.

In my opinion ANY type of fast moving fish will out compete your horse for food.

The only tank mates I EVER recomend for a seahorse would be blue leg hermits, small goby's, maybe a well behaved Mandarin. And that is ONLY if you are adamant on adding other things to a tank.

Seahorses really should only be kept species specific. You really shouldn't even mix species of seahorses. Some people do with great success, but certain species carry certain diseases that another species may be really sensitive too & then you have a tank of dead horses. Just not worth it in my opinion.

I don't ever recomend mixing in pipe fish. For the same reason as above!

Good luck!

Without disasembling is tough! But doable!!

Go to your LFS, & buy one of those ENOURMOUS nets. They are like easily 6-8 inches across. (They are only like 3 or 4 bucks)

Also, if your tank is set up for it, a nice divider wouldn't hurt. (That way you keep him on one side of the tank instead of him going back & forth frantically)

And with that big net & some patience, you will have him in no time!! =) 2 nets actually wouldn't hurt--one for each hand & to cover his next escape route! lol....

Good luck!
