Thanks to Hunter (evolved), Mark (m-six hundred) and Jeff (seeker88) for coming out today and helping me move my tank inside the house. This build started back in late November when I picked up wood for the stand. It's good to finally see it in place. I'll be posting a build thread soon.

Great looking tank. I never post comments like that, but I just love your choice of dimensions and that stand looks incredible.

Thanks Sinekal! I probably should give thanks to my neighbors for being tolerant of the noises coming from my garage over the last three months.

If I could build a hood and stand like that my wife may let me get a bigger tank. It looks awesome. The three color tones make it.

Thanks Mike. For awhile now I wanted to take the grills off of my b&w speakers and since they had a gray face, that was where I started. I also needed to lighten the room up after putting that dark sectional in.

I also made a console table to match to go under the tv.

When I get this tank cycling, I'll start building the frag tank stand with the same color scheme. My goal is to have that up before the end of next month.

Is that a complete breaker box just for your tank?
Also, I agree, the three tone color scheme looks really good.

Looks awesome!!! Is the canopy attached to the wall?
It is, I mounted a board (about 70inches) on the wall and it crossed 4 studs. This is holding the weight of the canopy (which only weights 48lbs without lights). The two cables just support the front to keep it from sagging. There is very any tension at all on the cables.

Here's a pic of the wall bracing from my build thread:

The canopy box has two slots in the back that slide into the wall bracing "prongs".

I like it I was wanting to do a free floating canopy on the 60g cube I started gonna have to steal some of your ideas
