Thank you so much for all the kind words. So many of you have had a part in my success.

The Blueface angel liked different corals as it grew from a 3" juvenile to an adult. The only corals I had to remove were my Favia and T. geoffroyi.

The triggers are very well behaved and leave everyone alone. When I first got them they were very shy and the Green Chromis would chase them. I wanted to yell at them "for God's sake you're a trigger!" The Xanthichthys family of triggers are quite reef safe with only the occasional individual misbehaving.

About $28,000. I had a 80 and 90 gal both running for about 5 years before I started this one (the livestock and a couple of lights/ballasts can be deducted from the above price). They were both very full but when I moved the livestock into the 550 all the corals looked like frags It took about 18 months before the tank began to fill in. At 24-30 months the tank looked perfect. Now it's beginning to become overgrown and some serious coral wars are starting. Must be time to start planning that upgrade (shhh don't let my wife hear that)

Kevin, what an amazing tank. And too bad you couldn't have it viewed from both sides as originally planned.

Can you explain your lighting schedule to us? I saw you have different amounts of time for different lights, but I didn't understand the reasoning behind it. The MH is self-explanatory, but the rest is intriguing.

The Hippo shot is classic. If you have a larger version of that one, I'd love a copy. I might even make a mirror image for Right Hang turns. :lol:

I was surprised that you have two skimmers running. From all I've seen personally and online, usually one skimmer will shut down when the other one is running.

How are you cleaning those edges? It looks tough!

Congratulations, Kevin. I too especially love the pair of Triggers. Questions: It appears that you prefer to let your corals just 'battle it out' regarding space. Any negative effects from this? Problems with Cyano at the points of contact? Do you try to direct a bit more water movement toward those areas? Thanks.
