I just finished setting up my jbj 45 rl tank. I just found 3 drilled holes on the wall that separates the back compartment I just want to ask if they are supposed to be there. I will post better pictures of it later. (In one picture, you can see the hole right above the word "Surface."

Yea mine has it as well as all the rest, its so the back compartment where the pumps are never drains completely.

I will say be careful when having anemones I lost two that took a walk and got sucked into those holes, they deflate and expand on either side of the hole making it impossible to get them out unless you rip them.
