tank setup question...175g. cube

We'll my uncle is looking at setting up a tank. I think I found the biggest tank that'll fit in there. glass cages makes a 175 gallon cube. 36" x 36" x 31". Not that expensive either. Of course I'm going to talk to some locals before I order. My question is...would a dart as a return and a dart as a closed loop on an oceans motions be too much flow? I'm going to try and set the tank up without any powerheads. I would probably set it up so the normal return outlets came through the back...and the CL outlets came through the bottom in each of the 4 corners. facing up at a 45'ish angle. Any input?

Also, would a 400w 20k radium in a lumenarc be enough light for the tank.

Sounds good...Don't know what else to say. If you usee a full sized luminarc you should be good to go, you may just have to raise it a little bit to fill it all, but even then it'll be a shisseload of light with a 400w radium. Just expensive :p

Sounds like my tank.

My 150 runs a dart on a closed loop with an OM 4-way and a dart as a return pump. I too thought I would get away with no powerheads. I was wrong. I've added two modded maxi-jets to the mix.

It "might" be possible to get the flow you want without additional powerheads. Adjustable nozzles on everything will help.
