For those who have asked heres an update on tank Dave. The stand is framed and being modified daily:( My desire for perfection is slowing things. I have taken pics but am not smart enough to download them to ths page,"soon as I can catch my son the pics will happen". The lights arrived and that makes about everthing I need "except the stand of course" So far its aqua medic HQI 250 with T-5 lighting, G-3 skimmer, reefemadness ph meter, cut holes for a closed loop, blueline return pump, ozone, pinpoint temp monitor, refractometer, yada, yada, yada. I'm trying to build a reef instead a coral garden this time hopefully I can stick to it. Theres a place in Guam called Tipalao Bay I plan on mimicking it, gentle sloped exposed reef lots of sps pociloporas, acropora, encrusting montis, stylophoras, brains, and tight fitting lobos. Fish there were flamehawks, bar gobies, wrasses, sleeper gobies, and many others but those were my favorites. Well theres the update any questions let me know and pics will follow :D

What happened? You cut it 3 times & it was still too short? lol. Here's a simple rule I learnt awhile back, " Measure 3 times.... Cut once" But it will be awight "MR. CLEAN". There's a nother sayin, " A little caulk, a little paint, makes the carpenter what he aint:lol:  :hammer:

Dave, do you know how to get pictures into your gallery?? If so, we can work with you from there to post them on this page like this:

mechanical skills also help. And all those little lines on the tape measure. Do they have to put them so close together!! LOL

lol, no but that does make sense. i actually got it at woodcraft. it's also a flat tape as opposed to a curled one. Makes it a little easier to be an exact measurement.

Actually I used a miter saw but failed to verify its accuracy with a square so that was the source of the slightly less than 40" hieght.

Finally finished one hole and the saw is done, I have contacted the guy I purchased it from. If I can't get this hole done it will slow everything down. AAAAHHHHH!

Hey Dave, what size holes are you putting in? I just drilled 6 holes in the back of my tank but I bought a couple of bits (ebay). One of them only has only one hole done with it. The bit size is 2 3/8 by the way. Where did you get the bit?
