Tank temp control by fans/evap.

I keep the house at 81F during the day.
My question is will fans and evaporative cooling be enough to keep the temp down enough for a longterm successful, healthy, tropical (SE Florida biotope) seahorse tank.

Is anyone else practicing or have experience with that kind of setup?

I have kept a large reef tank (120 gal.) with dual 250w metal halides and a fan in the sump for over a year. Of course, I did not have seahorses there. I am experimenting with a fan in the sump of my 55 gallon seahorse tank.

If the ambient room temp is 81F, your probably going to need a chiller to drop it down to the recommended 74F or below.

You an do quite a bit with fans, but with that amount of temperature drop, even if you could do it, your house is going to have quite the increase in humidity.
