Tank temp

What has everyone found to be the best way to keep an eye on tank temp? Tried the normal suction on the front tube one and it always floats off. Electronic one with probe in tank we have found major problems with. Two new ones right out of the package had a 5 degree difference?!

For periodic double checking... temp gun from either online or a hobby shop. Something like a reef keeper with temp probe is best over the long run.

I completely rely on my reefkeeper. Now that I'm setting up a seahorse tank I'm going to rely on it even more.

Neptune Apex Jr. It is fairly inexpensive (for a controller) at $150.00 and you just control it with your iphone/pc along with four outlets. It will take temp and email you when something goes wrong.
