Tank Tour revival

Do you guys want to do a tank tour in March in lieu of the more formal meeting? For those of you who aren't familiar, one tour was done in fall and everybody had an awesome time, details are in this old thread .
Are any of the people who had previously offered to host still willing? We could do two stops, maybe three if they are close. I'll host but would like to wait til later this spring, my tank's been under renovation :)
Any volunteers?

This aquarium rookie would not mind seeing some set ups. Either way I just wanna know where and when the next club function is so I can start learning new things and meeting new people

I may be willing to host. The tank is slightly down trodden but nothing that a few water changes won't fix. Let me see how much progress I can make this weekend and I will post on Monday giving a week's notice.

Cool! Anybody else in the Newark area? If we did it in lieu of the meeting, it would be on the third Monday, March 20th.

Yeah....don't know of a reefer who wouldn't want to see someone else's tank. And of course frags are always an option when touring tanks.

lets get some more people.

everyone that wants to participate please post here.

the last tour was alot of fun and a great learning experience.

everyone runs there tanks a little different, and its amazing what you can learn when you get a group of people in the same room, all looking at the same set up and discussing it.

so please if you want to make this happen, post here..

I'll join the tour, but I'm not comfortable showing my tank yet. I'll see if I can ramp up the effort, and have it more together by the 20th.

I'm such a noob!

I'll definately go on the tour, I'd love to see some tanks, but i'm sure no one wants to see mine, a little embarassing.

that's not true:) i would like to see everyones tanks. this is also a great way to figure out some problems that you may have. think of it as the BORG coming over and the collective working on your tank:)

The Borg are scary! :eek1: What do you mean you took all my fish and crammed my tank full of coral frags?! What, resistance is futile?! So do borg and saltwater mix?

i knew i shouldn't have used that analogy :D

Ok, the tank seems to be handling the recent transition pretty well, so you can put my tank on the list of those to visit. If anyone is interested in frags I have quite a few capnella, already mounted, orange monti digitata, two very young sarcophyton that dropped off a mother colony, and could probably stand to part with a few green ricordia polyps. I will post some pics when I get back home from biz travel (boo....)
I'm technically in Elkton, but really just over the state line (near Durham's BBQ). Who else nearby wants to be put on the list of stops? Looks like 5 or 6 people that volunteered before are within a few miles of my place...

Count me in to host. I won't be able to tour that night because my husband will likely still be on second shift and will have the vehicle.

I would like to host and provide some light snackage here, if wanted. I am a hop, skip and a jump from Tbor, I think. Right near Dairy Queen in Newark on Marrows road, across the street from the front of the elementary school.

If someone, anyone could send me an email reminder sometime during the week of, I would greatly appreciate it! ( evility6@yahoo.com )

I can host anytime between 6PM and 11PM. After 11PM, I turn into a banshee.

Awesome! Thanks bloopbloop. Since we're so close we can probably do three. If Tom is up for it, those can be the three stops. If not, we can fit one more in the Newark area. We probably should not start before 7, just like regular meeting time. It might be hard for people to get somewhere that quickly after work. Will definately send an email reminder.

Oh, yeah - and I can give you a lift back home if you want to do the rest of the tour.

That would be sweet. Thanks a bunch!

My husband just did a retro thingy on our MHs. One of them is being stupid, so imma go kick the bulb now and see if that works.

KIDDING!

If there's interest, y'all can stop by and see my tank; I know most have you have already seen it though  :D
