tank transfer need ideas

I am going to break down my 180 and move as much as I can into a 30. I am going to do a big water change so that I have a good amount of water from my 180 in the 30. I am wondering if I should change over the calcium reactor to the 30 now and then just dose the 180 with two part or the other way around. I have to keep the 180 running till I can sell all the corals. I was thinking that the 180 would be easier to dose since the cal/alk demand would go down since there would not be so many corals. by the way all the corals are sps. Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks Bruce

How long you going to have the 30 up?? 30 might ne on the small side. I moved a lot of corals into a 55, ( I think you saw that :) ).. and they were fine for almost 10 weeks until I changed skimmers. I dosed 2 part and did water changes and all was ok... the skimmer change caused some issues Shame to see all those corals be sold. I saw pics of your system from the meeting and the sps tank looked wonderful. Good luck
