tank transfer????

ok sooo heres the back round!

i have had my 30 gallon for about 4 years got some coral and 3 fish and about 60lbs of LR and of course the clean up crew!

my question is a buddy of mine is almost done setting up his 50 gallon tank and stand witch i have been helping him with. if i were to sell off all my LR and corals and lighting (250w MH and 2 5w pcs ) would he be able to just ad the fish or would he have to wait he is about a 30 min drive away. if he goes for it i want to know the safest way to get it done with minimal loss!! also will the lighting be enough for his 50g its only 12in deep and mines 24in deep i think it will work!

The lighting will be good he will have to be careful not to bleach the corals because they will get more light in a shallower tank. As far as adding livestock right away it can be done but more than likely there will be a small cycle so he will have to stay on top of waterchanges to keep the levels in check.
