Here is my 2 year old Biocube 29. I am fragging the nepthea to make room.

To me the tank is blah still and too "brown"

What can I add to make it look really good? I know its only a 29G but I have seem allot nicer tanks.

Lighting is 4 x 36W PC.

Yeah, lose about 3/4 of that leather (just cut it w/ a razor and give it to a LFS), and add some rics and purple digi montis? For color, try an Acro down the road if the Monti makes it past 6months.
You may want suck out 1/2 of that sand and replace it--keep it stirred up or go BB.

There is not much sand as I have removed allot of the past 2 years with water changes. I tried ACAN's with no luck at all. The zoas do OK. The Nepethea grew very well but I will probably get rid of the whole thing since its way to big for a nano tank. If that does go i will need to add some LR to fill in. I hope I can find a cured piece at the LFS that is not full of junk and actually cured.

I have two rics in there now and had 2 others but they detached and went somewhere unknown.

Hi Rob! Look for some colorful caulestrea. I have two colors in my tank. One is a pale green and the other is a bright neon green. Cruise through the coral forums to see what other varieties of corals can add some color to your tank.

I like allot of corals with color but I think I am very limited due to the lighting. 4 x 36W and 2 or the bulbs are Actinic (Still not enough blue).

I have tried 3 kinds of ACANs and none lasted more than a month or so. Not wasting my money there again.

Since the Zoas I have are not as colorful as when i purchased them I am wondering of there is not enough lighting. The tubs blue zoas are brown with a blue tint and are stretched out (Middle) The rest of the zoas were all tightly packed adn they are now spacing themselves apart.

I was just gonna say maybe an upgrade to lighting would really make things pop  maybe you could add some stunner LED lights to make things a little brighter. I hear you can stick them right up into the biocube hood. http://www.fosterandsmithaquatics.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=3578+3733+10704+21598&pcatid=21598
