Ok, so far I've removed a ton of built up detritus. Done 2 15 gallon water changes one of which was 15 gallons of gravel vaccuming. Removed a ton of anthelia that was covering half the rock work.
Skimmer received a long vinegar bath and complete cleaning. About 8 filter socks have been filled and cleaned as I've been stirring up everything. Also completely cleaned the hood including all the lighting reflectors, top of hood, entire sump area and I'm working on exterior areas around the tank.
Romoved and cut all damaged portions of my existing acros and other colonies.( chalices etc) I still have a huge colony of Formosa stag to cut down. Also have two colonies of my old miyagi torts, a big colony of Paletta yellow tip, and a couple pieces of Cali tort.(yes all blue) and a few others I forget the name of atm.
Supplements are refilled and adjusted to get my big three back in the right range.
Halides are changed after long being over due. 175w 14kk with mogul base and the big reflectors. T5 are now also new using the Geissman ultra purple and actinics. With the faceted reflectors.
The fish are a medium sized blue tang, a tomini, male blue star wrasse and an old pajama Cardinal. Still have my sea cucumber cruising around and a few snails.
The frags I picked up at Neptunes are all still fine apart from a bit of browning from the dip and have polyp extension so seem ok atm.
This has taken about two weeks but so far everything seems ok. If anybody has a few of my old favs like pink lemonade, red planet and tricolor valida I'd like to buy a frag if you are able to cut a piece or I have a few chalice frags for trade bazooka joe etc.
