got my new tank from glass cages. it's 36x36x20 (1/2" sides, 3/4" bottom), completely trimless and braceless. now i need to make a canopy and stand, make an overflow box, then paint the back and drill. any bets for how long it takes?

up-close, the work isn't immaculate. but it didn't cost as much as an immaculate custom glass tank, so i'll be happy as long as it holds water.

Nice!! ...That is gonna be awesome ...Keep us posted ... and I say you'll have everything done sooner than you think .. Once you start seeing a tiny bit of progress you won't be able to stop until it's done .... Can't wait to see it ..

Well mine isnt as sexy as Matts with being braceless and without trim to paranoid and decided it would help me sleep having bracing on top). But I as well got a new tank mine is 30 x 30 x 25.

I also got a sump from them since the normal size tanks probably wouldnt work for me:

With all my traveling I doubt that either of these will see water until the end of April but I am excited to say the least.

Now you guys have got me jealous - and thinking ...:rolleye1:

Matt - bet you can knock it out over the next weekend :D

Matt, trimless and braceless, did Glass Cages say that would hold up? I bet it's going to take you too long to set up cause I can't wait to see it. Please keep us updated! Jonathan very nice tank with less of a stress factor. Smart move with the sump too. Jealous, Michael R

Thanks reefdad...for Matts tank to be trimless they increased the glass size to half inch on all the sides and 3/4 inch on the bottom.

very nice tanks guys. Looks like we will all be waiting actiously (sp) to see the finished product, hopefully it will be in person though. Hint hint matt.

Can't wait to see the finished tank. Come on it's Matt's tank we all know that it will look great.
